Cigarette Chemicals
There is a shocking truth out there that many people seem to ignore, and that is that cigarettes are known to contain over 4,000 deadly cigarette chemicals. That means that every time you take a hit off of a cigarette, you are inhaling over 4,000 chemicals that are trying to kill you all at once. Scary thought, huh? To most people, this is not so. There is nothing that can be said about the dangers of the various cigarette chemicals that are said to cause cancer and other illnesses in the body. If nothing else, the various pesticides and chemicals in cigarettes are known to break down the immune system, leaving the body susceptible to so many other types of illnesses that are non cancer related. Either way you slice it, cigarettes are a deadly habit to take up and everybody is working against their innate force on the public. From the United States government to special interest groups to run of the mill parents at schools, people are always looking at ways to go against the ills of cigarette smoking. The dangers of cigarette chemicals affect not only the smoker but people around the smoker, who inhale what is called second-hand smoke. Second-hand smoke is known to be just as deadly, if not more so, than many of the other direct forms of smoke inhalation out there.
In case you wanted to know (and chances are you probably did not want to know) there are things used in cigarettes that we come into contact with on an everyday basis, and they are regarded as dangerous in their present forms. Ammonia for one, is a cleaning chemical that is used in washing clothes and in fertilizers. It is also one of the manic components in a good cigarette, making them taste better and hit harder and add that little extra brain damage that makes cigarette smoking such an addictive behavior.
Can you really risk all of the chemicals in cigarettes getting into you body? Everybody has something to live for, and cigarette chemicals can drastically shorten a person’s time on this Earth. Are all of the carcinogens and chemicals in cigarettes worth the fix? There are resources online for people who may or may not need help quitting, and help for yourself to help you understand why it is important to quit smoking in the first place.
