There are more than 599 ingredients found in cigarettes that a person can be aware of. When you pick a cigarette out of the pack, pick it up, a and put it up to your lips, do you ever think about what is in a cigarette? The components of cigarettes are often harmful to the body when it comes to smoking cigarettes. Cigarettes have been known to cause or increase the likelihood of developing certain types of cancers, can lead to bigger illnesses like emphysema, and can even make the body more susceptible to other more common illnesses like the cold and even bronchitis. More specifically, the ingredients in cigarettes are known to cause heart diseases and other cardiovascular complications, problems with potency and fertility, and SIDS along with cervical cancer and cancer of the pancreas and stomach. All of this doesn’t end with that; the ingredients in cigarettes can make a person susceptible to gum disease and pneumonia as well. Even more remote diseases like leukemia, that one would not normally be associated with smoking can be caused by the ingredients in cigarettes. The ingredients in cigarettes alone are enough to make a person want to quit, but that is not always as easily done as it is said. It is the bad ingredients in a cigarette that make the things so addictive, and what poisons are in cigarettes are known to cause deleterious effects on the health of any smoker.
